VUOHIVASARA – NON-WORTHLESS IDOLS TO WORSHIP

Look at the band and demo’s name and you will quickly come to the conclusion that this is not your average metal band. Based in Finland, the goat-worshipping quartet has recorded four old-school death metal tracks with enough underground sensibility to dig a tunnel to the centre of the earth.

The band has many rough edges and does not exactly have the best sound possible, but given the lack of down and dirty death metal a la early Edge Of Sanity and Rotting Christ on the scene this would actually be a good insider’s tip for fans of the said sound.

From growls to gruff and from fast to faster Capricorn, Thy Agony, Damon and Blake go for the jugular here. Listen for a blatant early Marduk rhythm on Tempus Eversionis. The disc comes with a video of the band, but the computer mainframes at Metallian Towers naturally were not able to open them.
